M.D. Jones grew up in Australia, staying up well past bedtime lost in the magic of books, from The Chronicles of Narnia to contemporary fantasy epics. A lifelong reader of fantasy, historical fiction, and mysteries, she now writes the intricate, character-driven adventures she's always craved.

As a veteran, parent, and spouse who is not always wearing all the hats at once, M.D. understands the need for escape into worlds that feel both familiar and fantastical. When not writing, she's exploring this world's wild places: new cities, coastlines, and ancient alpine forests.
